The Y Cross Concept: The Guide to Attacking the Middle of the Field

Y-Cross is a staple of the Air Raid offense, but is also prevalent in offenses all across football. This is a drop-back concept that can be run from a variety of formations, dressed up with play action, and executed against a wide spread of coverages. Y-Cross can be considered a weak-side flood concept, and one that offenses utilize to take deep shots paired with the ability to find intermediate completions.
